Meet Dr Alia Reitano

I am a born and raised Michigander. I grew up in a small town which allowed me to appreciate a sense of community. This is something I have taken with me through all parts of my life. I attended Eastern Michigan University where I played on the NCAA DI Women’s Soccer team. Sports have been a very influential part of my life. I have learned a multitude of lessons that I correlate into my dental profession. I enjoy working with people, just as though we are one large team. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I attended the University of Michigan to pursue my dental degree.

During dental school I was able to serve a plethora of people from differing backgrounds. This has helped shape me into the provider I am today. Dentistry is a lot more than teeth. I enjoy building relationships with my patients so they have a better understanding of their oral health and how it plays a role in their overall health. Healthcare can be hard to navigate at times. I try my best to explain treatment thoroughly and ensure the patient’s concern is heard. There isn’t always one correct answer in dentistry; nevertheless, I try my best to do what’s right for each specific patient.

Dentistry is an ever changing career, and this is one of the things I love most about it. I strive to constantly keep learning for myself and my patients. I’m married to my husband Joey and our family is completed by our rescue pup, May. In my free time, I enjoy CrossFit and staying involved in the soccer community through officiating and commentating. I love exploring the outdoors with my family, especially Northern Michigan.
